Legoland Malaysia

I know it is late, but late better than never, right?

I went Johor for Power Root Berhad's AGM 2 weeks ago. Besides going for the AGM, I took the chance to vistit to Legoland as well.

In my Johor trip, I stayed in Tune Hotel. They provide shuttle van for us to go Legoland.

We departed from Tune Hotel at 9.30am. It took us about 20 minutes to reach there.

When we reached there, we notice the 'Legoman' and staffs were having mroning exercise with the visitors before it opens for the visitors.

We started by playing in the theme park. I didn't manage to take a lot of photos in the theme park as most of the time spent in playing.

We played until 1pm and took a break for lunch. After the break, we spent our time on visiting the models/structures built with the lego blocks. Some looks very nice. Some looks very real.

I spent about 2 hours in taking photo. But sadly, the weather was too hot. I had to stay under the hot sun to take all the photos.

We got out from the park at about 4.30pm and waited for the shuttle to get back to Tune Hotel at 5.30pm.

In overall, I would rate 3 out of 5 stars for Legoland. It's more suitable for family trip.

Anyway, this trip means a lot to me! Why? Secret. But I guess those who close to me know why it is meaningful.

First Time Making Poh Piah

These two months, I am learning cooking. Perhaps next time an be a cook? Haha.

Today, I learn to cook Poh Piah.

Here, this is the result.

Still okay I guess.

The hardest part would be wrapping the Poh Piah. My Poh Piah sizes are all not equal. Some are big and some are small.

During frying it, I never thought I need to act fast, it would turned into black colour very fast. Luckily my mum was helping me beside me. Or else, maybe I am going to have 'black poh piah' as my lunch.

There were some leftover for the 'poh piah skin' that I didn't finish using it. I fried it as well.

After Poh Piah, what's next? Any suggestion?

The Haze

What's that in the photo?

It's the tallest building in Penang, KOMTAR!

It looks so blur, isn't it?

I didn't make any photo editing. I swear.

The haze has 'attacked' Penang. It's very hazy today.

I wonder....
how long will it last?

I wonder....
why is this problem remain unsolved for so many years??

I wonder....
how many people have sick because of this???

Really hope that the haze will say good bye to us very soon..... Haze, please go away......

Final Week For Google Reader

Are you use of Google Reader?

If you do, you should beware of this.

Google Reader is closed starting from 1 July 2013.

So this is the final week for Google Reader.

I felt sad when I knew this few months ago. I was wishing Google would change their mind. But it doesn't happen.

I am an active user of Google Reader. It helps me to follow people. I can view all the posts for all the blogs I follow through Google Reader. I don't need to go the blogs one by one to check for the updates.

It makes things easier right?

I view all in Google Reader. When I want to comment on something, I just need to click it, and it will link me to the blog.

As it come to the end, I have no choice, I need to add all the blogs I am followings into 'bookmark', and visit the blogs one by one starting from July.

Insomnia Because of Coffee

I was insomnia.

I thought caffeine has only little effect on preventing me from sleeping, but who knows, 2 nights ago it makes me hardly get into sleep. I got on bed at 11 something, but after laying for an hour, I couldn't sleep. I then got off from bed to do my thing and got back to sleep at 2am. Sadly, I woke up at about 5am and couldn't get back to sleep. So I slept for 3 hours only. And I feel really tired when I go work.

From now onward, I dare not drink coffee at night anymore, unless I plan to sleep at late night.

Going Back To Work

Finally, I am going back to work again.

Two days ago, it was the first day of going back to work. Perhaps, I was too excited? I woke up at 4am. I laid until 4.30am before I got off from bed.

After prepared myself, I left my home about 5 to 10 minutes before 7 o'clock.

I thought the bus was going to be crowded, but it didn't.

Perhaps, more buses have been provided? If yes, it's great.

How do I feel now after working for 2 days?

Generally, everything is still all right, just I have the challenge for time management.

During weekdays, I left my home for work at 7am and reach home at about 7pm. Thus, I have only a few hours to do my things (rough one hour in the morning and 4 hours at night). Fortunately, I decided to stay inactive in Facebook. Or else, I don't think I have time to do any other things.

In these two weeks, I believe my greatest challenge is going to be adapting myself to work and managing my time.

Well, hope things get better. Have a nice day!

Investment Gathering At COOB Coffee, Penang

After gathering in Gurney Drive one and a half years ago, Deric was here in Penang to have investment gathering again. We had our gathering last night at COOB Coffee. Beside Deric and his girlfriend who were ocming from KL, there were also people coming from Tambun, Chai Leng Park, and also Kedah. I felt so glad to see that, especially two juniors from my former university coming from UUM after finished yesterday's exam.

Thanks to all of them, I have a wonderful night. We shared our knowledge, and we learn from each other. Again, I learned a lot from Deric.

Time always the enemy of wonderful moment. We started our discussion and sharing at 6 o'clock and ended at about 10 o'clock. We spent four hours together, but it seems like only one or two hours only. Time passed very fast.

After the gathering, five of us had our second round somewhere around Jetty. We were there until 12 o'clock. I enjoyed this gathering a lot.

Oh ya, also shouldn't forget to thank Andrew as well. Andrew, thank you for fetching me home after the gathering.

Say Hello to Working Life Again

Yo! Just like my title says, I am going back to work again!

It means, my journey of being an full time investor (9.5 months) ends here.

I know it's a shock for some people. I believe a lot of people never expect I could go back to workplace (even those who are nearest to me) so sudden.

2 days ago, I posted in my Facebook, asking is there any vacancy. And today, I have confirmed of going back to working life. I am starting my working life next Tuesday.

Now, I guess your next question is, 'where? what job?'

I am going back to my former firm, Honglim & Associates, the firm I resigned from. After working for 10.5 months, I resigned August last year. But this time, it's different. I no longer joined as an audit assistant, I am joining to handle the tax part. It's going to be a new start again. And I have new thing to learn again.

Hope I would able to adapt to this new life. I will try hard to work happily, and I will work hard. I hope this decision can lead me to a better life.

Waking Up Early

If you are following my Facebook, you would know, I am having some troubles recently. I admit, I am mentally weak. I am very emotional nowadays.

For the past few months, I didn't sleep much. I hardly got into sleep. Sometimes, I sleep at 1am. Then I woke up very early in the morning. Today, I woke up at about 5.15am. I tried to get back to sleep, but I failed. A lot of things keep popping up into my mind. I couldn't stop thinking and worrying.

I met a friend yesterday. He is a wonderful guys. I know he is trying to help me. He doesn't continue to see me trapping myself here.

I wish to be not emotional. But then, it's too hard.

I keep giving me a lot of reasons, but yet, it couldn't get myself out.

One person told me that time will fade everything. Will I? I am not sure.

My Respectful Friend in Stock Market, Deric Yee

Suddenly, I am thinking of introduce a friend of mine in stock market, Deric Yee! He is one of the most respectful friend I ever met.

Even he is young, he have achieve great success in stock market. Fot the past 4 years, he has generated compuded annual growth rate of 77.8%.

Thanks to OSK Investment Challenge. I knew him through the competition. However, our style in stock market are completely different. I am long term investor while he is short term speculator. There is no much common topic that we can talk as we are in two different direction. So, we didn't really chat at the beginning.

Thing changes after a gathering 2 years ago. He came Penang and we gathered up. He shared about his knowledge and I was impressed. Besides mastering the Technical Analysis, he has also developed some unique technical indicators that work exceptionally well in Malaysia market. His models had allowed him to tap into opportunities that arise in some of the most sophisticated segments of the market.

As he is quite an expert, I felt a little nervous to meet him. But then, I felt surprised. He is extremely friendly. So, that gathering end up to be one of the greatest investment gathering I ever had in my life. Since then, we chatted with each other more frequently. I learned quite a lot of thing from him.

This year, he launched his website called Stocks Trading Malaysia to share his thought on stock market. He is also conducting classes to teach people how to trade in stock market.

2 weeks from now, he is coming to Penang again. I am going to meet him up for dinner (on 15th June). I am looking forward to that gathering. I am sure it is going to be another memorable gathering.

Illusion: Fast and Slow

I saw something interesting from Chia Yi's blog.

What's so special of the photo above?

In the photo, you are seeing moving forward in a places that full of rooms at the both side, right?

Now, try to cover the both side of the photo with your finger.

Okay, and now, cover the center of the photo.

Notice anything?

When you cover the both side, it move slower.

When you cover the center part, it move faster.

Interesting?

MAGIC!!!

520 for Year 2013

Today's is 20th May 2013. Many people are posting '520' in Facebook. If 520 is read in Mandarin, it sounds like 'I love you. A lot of people are expressing their love to their love ones today.

Nothing too special I did today.

It is birthday for one of my greatest friend. I delivered a birthday gift to her.

After I back home, I continue looking on the stock market.

Nothing special as well in stock market. The market is good like previous days.

But suddenly, in final half minutes of the pre-close session. NTPM (a stock that I am heavily invest in currently) matched at RM0.520!

I am so happy to it. NTPM closed at RM0.520 on 520 (20 May)!

I LOVE YOU, NTPM!

Wonder why I am so happy to see it to close at RM0.520? Haha. I have my own reason.

Teacher's Day 2013

2 days ago, it was Teacher's Day.

Last year, I planned that I could actually visited my form 6 teachers during this years' Teacher's Day. But unfortunately, I was busy on Teacher's Day. I went out in the morning, meeting people and attending talk organised by RHB Investment (formerly known as OSK Investment) until late night.

Luckily in the morning, I manage to send a email to Mr. Krishna.

Mr. Krishna is one of the best teachers I ever meet in my life. He was my English teacher when I was learning English in Cambridge Language Centre.

As I mention in my previous post...

I mentioned that I hate English previously. He is the ones making me get interested into English. And now, I love reading, thank to him.

13th General Election of Malaysia

Yesterday was a big day to Malaysia. It's the 13th GENERAL ELECTION of Malaysia.

A lot of people are hoping for a change with opposition party's slogan 'UBAH!'

It was my first time casting vote to choose the candidate I want for state and federal government.

There are several new policies were implemented for the election. One of it is the usage of indelible ink. The indelible ink will be painted on our finger to show that we have voted. This is to avoid a person to vote for more than one time.

See! This is evidence that I have voted.

However, I am not sure why it was called as 'indelible ink'. After I washed my hand, then the 'indelible ink' disappear. It didn't happen to me only, but almost all the people.

Last night was an exciting night. My dad, my brother and I were checking updates for the result of election.

There were a lot of rumours on the results. But I was waiting for the official result from SPR.

A lot of people are hoping for a change, but their dream doesn't come true.

Barisan National continues to be the federal government by winning 133 seats.

For the states, Pakatan Rakyat won in Penang, Kelantan and Selangor, while others were won by Barisan National.

And today, after I woke up and log into Facebook. I saw this picture appear in many people's profile picture.

A lot of people changing their profile picture into black. People are disappointed with the 'dirty polling'.

And today, I couldn't wait to see how stock market react to the election result.

The market shocked me!

It shot up 130 points in 5 minutes after the market opens! I never such scenario before since I started my journey of investment!

Shopping In Popular Bookstore

It has been a long time I didn't buy any book. Yesterday, I went to Popular Bookstore, Gurney Plaza to buy some books.

I saw 'Life of Pi' and I bought it.

The movie was being screened in cinema few months ago. I thought the movie is a boring one. I never thought of watching. But yet, I watched it. I never regret. It was a great movie. There are a lot of meaning behind the story. I love this kind of movie. And so, I thought of buying the book. Finally now, I bought it.

Besides 'Life of Pi', I bought other books as well. But most of them are books relating to investment.

Well, I actually still have a number of books that I haven't read. From now onward, I think I shall spend more time on reading. Or else, I will be wasting my money in buying books.
