Going Back To Work

Finally, I am going back to work again.

Two days ago, it was the first day of going back to work. Perhaps, I was too excited? I woke up at 4am. I laid until 4.30am before I got off from bed.

After prepared myself, I left my home about 5 to 10 minutes before 7 o'clock.

I thought the bus was going to be crowded, but it didn't.

Perhaps, more buses have been provided? If yes, it's great.

How do I feel now after working for 2 days?

Generally, everything is still all right, just I have the challenge for time management.

During weekdays, I left my home for work at 7am and reach home at about 7pm. Thus, I have only a few hours to do my things (rough one hour in the morning and 4 hours at night). Fortunately, I decided to stay inactive in Facebook. Or else, I don't think I have time to do any other things.

In these two weeks, I believe my greatest challenge is going to be adapting myself to work and managing my time.

Well, hope things get better. Have a nice day!

Say Hello to Working Life Again

Yo! Just like my title says, I am going back to work again!

It means, my journey of being an full time investor (9.5 months) ends here.

I know it's a shock for some people. I believe a lot of people never expect I could go back to workplace (even those who are nearest to me) so sudden.

2 days ago, I posted in my Facebook, asking is there any vacancy. And today, I have confirmed of going back to working life. I am starting my working life next Tuesday.

Now, I guess your next question is, 'where? what job?'

I am going back to my former firm, Honglim & Associates, the firm I resigned from. After working for 10.5 months, I resigned August last year. But this time, it's different. I no longer joined as an audit assistant, I am joining to handle the tax part. It's going to be a new start again. And I have new thing to learn again.

Hope I would able to adapt to this new life. I will try hard to work happily, and I will work hard. I hope this decision can lead me to a better life.

55 Years of Merdeka

Merdeka!

Merdeka!

Merdeka!

It's 31st August 2012! It's the national day of our country. Our country has officially independent for 55 years.

A small wish here, I hope all the Malaysians will have better days in future.

Also, today is my independent day.

Yesterday was officially my final day in working in my ex-firm. I am no longer the employee there starting today.

I worked in that firm for 10 and a half months. It isn't a long period of time, but I learned a lot. Thanks to my boss. Last year, when I started to look for my job, I actually didn't wish to look for audit job. But end up, I joined an audit firm. You may ask me why, and it's because the boss. He is a great boss. A caring boss, and he is willing to teach us a lot. I have been learning a long during this period. I learned a lot of things that I think I probably will not learn it if I didn't join that firm.

I actually feel sorry to him. My performance should be not meeting his expectation. Really sorry.

Audit is really not suitable for me. I really couldn't perform in it. Anyway, I am out now.

So the next question you may ask now, what's my next move?

Well, I give myself 1 year time. I don't intend to seek for a job for this one year time. I am going to focus on my investment and starting some businesses. It's time to start doing things I want to. Life's short, we are not afford to spend most of the time we have now to do things we don't really like to.

One year time. I hope I can really use it effectively.

All the best to all!

HAPPY MERDEKA DAY!

4-Days Break

Finally.... Finally...

Finally I have a longer break. Next Monday and Tuesday, it's going to be Hari Raya holiday. So, I am going to have 4-days break in total.

Wow, it's great! It has been a long time I never have such a long break. The last time I guess should be on Chinese New Year.

Anyway, I have to use these 4 days time wisely!

Okay, let's plan what I am going to do in these 4 days time.

1. INVESTMENT ANALYSIS
This is always my priority. I am going to do more research on investment.

Oh ya! OSKIC is coming again! It's starting soon! For those students who wish to learn about stock market, it is a good platform for you all. I used to be participants of this challenge when I was studying. I was active in playing that game and I posted quite a numbers of posts on tutorial for OSKIC as well.

2. JOGGING
Jogging has already become one of my hobby as well as challenge for me. I am participating Penang Bridge Marathon this year, and I hope I could do well in it. Yea, I need training. I am trying to play to jog 2 times in this 4-days break.

3. READING BOOKS
I bought a lot of books but most of them remain unread. So, these 4 days, let's read them.

Anyway, later I am going to book expo again. It's going to be at P.I.S.A, Penang. It was held from 17 to 26 August 2012. Book lovers, this is time for you to get books with discount. However, if not mistaken, only Chinese book is available in this book expo.

4. MEETING FRIENDS
Never forget about friends as we. I love to meet great friends as we can share stories, experience and knowledge with each other. I am meeting up my UUM friends, my best friends, my investment friends as well as a Public Mutual agent.

5. TIDY UP MY STUFFS
My stuffs are getting more! I am now facing problems in how to store my stuffs. If I could have a new house or room. That would be great. But to have a news house or room, it is still far to go. So, no choice, I need to tidy them up and arrange them in a better way.

These 5 things that I want to do, are already more than enough to make my schedule full. I hope that I really can stay motivated and use this 4-days break wisely.

TIME'S FAST! LET'S APPRECIATE OUR TIME!

Lack of Time

It's June already. Time's fast, isn't it?
I posted about insufficient time before in the post of 'I Don't Have Enough Time To.....'. In that post, I mentioned that I had only 8 hours a day after deducting time allocated for working and sleeping.

Few days ago, I recompute again. This time, I compute in weekly basis.

Everyday, I left home at around 7.30 a.m. and reached home at roughly 7.30 p.m., so it's about 12 hours a day spent in working life. So, I will be spending 72 hours a week as I am working 6 days a week now. It is now the largest portion of my time consumption. More than 1/3 of my time is spent for my working life.

Let's see the pie chart.
After deducting work life, sleep time as well as eating and bath, I have only 52.5 hours a week! Don't you think it's too insufficient?

Now, I am going to say the same thing again.

I don't have enough time to read books.
I don't have enough time to do my investment research.
I don't have enough time to on phone with my girl friend.
I don't have enough time to have meals with my friends.
I don't have enough time to try something new.
I don't have enough time to read news.
I don't have enough time to play badminton.
I don't have enough time to online.
I don't have enough time to watch movies.
I don't have enough time to discuss things with others in forum.

And.....

I don't have enough time to blog and to read people's blog.

I couldn't have much time. What I can do now is to use my time more efficiently. I should keep trying to avoid from wasting my time!

Happy Labour Day 2012

Yeah! It's Labour Day! The MayDay!

HAPPY LABOUR DAY TO ALL!

I believe a lot of people love this day as we don't need to go for work.

By the way? Do you know how the Labour Day comes? In most of countries, the Labour Day holiday starts with protest. They are fighting for labours' right, and now, we have Labour Day holiday.

Yesterday, our Prime Minister brought a good news to some labours. Minimum wage policy was announced. Minimum wage in Peninsular Malaysia set to be RM900 per month or RM4.33 per hour. For East Malaysia, minimum wage is set to be RM800 per month or RM3.85 per hour. So, after this, no more wages with RM500, no more wages with RM700. I believe those whose wages are below RM900 will feel happy as their pay is going to be increased soon.

On the other side, perhaps some employers will start to have headache. As they need to pay more for the labours, higher cost incurred. How are them going to cover the cost? Are them going to pass the burden to the customers? Are them going to increase the workload for the labours? Or are them going to cut down the number of employees? And also, if they increase the wages for the labours below the minimum wages to RM900, how about those with wages of RM900? Are the employers going to increase their salaries as well?

Anyway, I am still waiting to see the more detailed announcement as there are still many questions in my mind.

1. Do the minimum wages includes allowances and commission?
2. Does the regulation apply to foreign labours?
3. How about for those students taking internship, does this regulation take place?

Holidays!

It's holiday today! Woohoo! It's so great to have holiday.

I spent my time on investment as usual. I did analysis on investment this morning. Then I went for lunch with my friend. Time's fast. It's going to be evening soon. So, holiday for today is going to end soon.

I guess most people who are working love to have holidays, am I right?

Some of people want more holidays. And yea, I am one of them. Hehe.

2 weeks ago, there is a nice article written by The Busy Weekly. It shows data on the number of holidays. Here is it.

Running To Ease My Emo

Note: this photo was taken few weeks ago

It's going to be another emotional post.

Again, it's because of my work. I found a lot of obstacles in my word and I am tired dealing with it. Just like I posted in previous post, that I am not belonging to audit, I really wonder how long can I stand in audit.

I started to have the feeling during my internship, the moody feeling that makes me lose a lot of energy.

This morning, after I woke up, I tried to use my time wisely. I started to do some analysis on some companies for my investment straight away after I woke up. But after my lunch, my mood was getting down. Then I didn't continue my investment research. I took out my dairy and read it. I recalled a lot of memories in my past especially those during my Form 6 life. I am now quite different from Form 6, it's really a lot of differences. I really wish that I could be like last time. I wish that the old LuPorTi can come back.

After reading for a time, I decided to go for jogging already. I actually invited a friend to jog at 4pm, but suddenly feel to go it earlier.

I departed at 3 something. I jogged at Ayer Itam Dam. I walked from bottom until the top of the Dam. It has been years that I didn't walked up from bottom. Normally my friends and I will go up by car or motorcycle, then only we jog on the top.

I was waiting my friend for a moment before started my jog. Until I finished my jog and planned to go back, my friend didn't show up. I have just known after dinner that he was sick and fallen asleep.

Actually I wished to meet up and have a talk with him. Nowadays, I really don't know who should I talk to. I wish to express my feeling, but hardly get a suitable person for me to do so. He may be a suitable person. He was my best friend in MBS during my Form 6. We did a lot of things together.

It has been a long time we didn't do a complete jogging on Ayer Itam Dam. the last time was exactly 6 years ago. 18 March 2006, we were on there. Before we jogged, we talked a lot of things. We talked about our future. And thereafter, he decided to quit study. I guess that day was one of the most crucial days in our life. So I decided to invite him for a jog today. But unfortunately, he was sick.

Anyway, I never went to Ayer Itam Dam for exercise for so long like today before. I left home at 3 something. Guess what time I reached home? I reached home at 7 pm.

Anyway, I am really feeling a little bit exhausted. But it's good I guess. I actually try to make myself feeling more exhausted so that I can have a nice sleep tonight. It has been a long time I never has a nice sleep. My sleeping period is getting shorter and I made a lot of dreams during my sleep. And, seriously, I dreamed a lot of my job.

When can I get out from all of this? When?

I have said in my "I Am Not Belonging To Audit" post that I decided to leave the sector of audit, it's just the matter of time now. I guess I may work until this peak period is over. Some of my friends started to ask what job will I go for after this? Well, I can only say, it's going to be a more peaceful work.

Work's Getting Tougher, I Need Alicafe

Last week, I feel so stressful in my work. I even feel that I am not belonging to audit. I actually think of quitting my current job. But, I feel sorry to my boss if I do so. It's going to be peak period. If I quit now, my boss may be lack of human power.

Suddenly I release there is an advantage if I work with bad boss. I will not feel sorry to quit at anytime. My boss isn't a bad ones, in fact, he is a very nice boss. He is one of the nicest employer I ever seen.

After last weekend, talking with some of the great friends. I went back to work with one sentence in my mind 'if we don't walk today, we have to run tomorrow'. It becomes one of my favourite quote now.

I tried to perform, especially today, but yet, I feel disappointed again. I couldn't be an effective and efficient employee. In additional, from time to time, I made careless mistake.

Seriously, I am feeling quite tension in audit. I really wish I could do well in investment, and end my audit life. What to do now? Just continue like that, and working hard!

Oh ya, after working today, I went for shopping. I bought something.

Yea, Alicafe.

I decided to work even harder now! I seriously have to!

So from now onwards (in fact, it has been since few weeks ago), I may be lack of sleep. I want to utilise my time to do more thing in order to improve my knowledge, so that I can perform better in both my investment and work.

To keep me awake, I ask Alicafe joins my force. Let's fight my future together with Alicafe.

Then, I saw this product too.

Oligo, a chocolate drink. I drank the canned ones before, its taste isn't bad, so I bought this to see whether will I like it or now. Hope I will like it.

Remember, if you don't walk to day, you have to run tomorrow!

I Am Not Belonging To Audit

I didn't post about my moody mood recently. I used to post about my feeling in my blog last time, especially when I feel down. Today, here is my moody post again.

I actually don't really wish to post about negative mood in my blog. But, I am feeling quite down and frustrating. I wish to look for a person to talk to, but I couldn't find anyone that can let me to talk to in the way of very comfortable. So, just trying to express myself in my blog.

This week I was assigned for an important job. It is the largest company I ever handle for my audit work. I posted this in my FB yesterday: "Going to start today's audit soon. It's important task for me. It may cause my confidence to raise or collapse. Go go go! Go for the best!"

Well, sadly, it collapsed me today. I thought I could perform better, but I still failed too. I am still weak.

I left office at around 7.45pm tonight. When I was on my way back home, I thought of a person. Always, when I feel so down and frustrating, I hope to chat with that person. But nowadays, the chance to chat with that person is quite low. That person plays an important role in my life before. I was motivated by that person a lot. Motivation that I mean here, a real motivation. Motivation that makes you feel that you have unlimited energy. There is one time 2 years ago, where I faced a very big trouble in which I need to cut down my investment. I chatted with that person and it turned my mood up. That person seems like understanding me a lot. Honestly, I wish that I could chat with that person at this moment.

Now, this is the first time I say publicly, that I am going to quit my current job. I have been thinking for a time. Am I right to choose to work in current boss? The boss is nice. But, the work isn't the thing I like. And now, as the work load is increasing and it started to affect my investment. I will never let anything to bring my investment down, so quitting is nearly confirmed. It's just the matter of time. When am I going to leave? It's going to be peak period for audit firm. If I quit in these few months, it will bring trouble to my boss and colleagues. The boss is nice! I shouldn't act like this. So, perhaps, I will quit after the peak period.

Now, I think I need to start thinking of my quitting plan as well as plan after quitting.
