Dato Lee vs Lin Dan (Olympic 2012 Final)

There is a big match coming up tonight!

Not Real Madrid, not Bacerlona.

Tonight, Dato Lee Chong Wei is going to play against Lin Dan in Olympic men single's final.

WHAT?! DATO LEE versus LIN DAN again?

For the past few years, we have been seeing a lot of matches between them. No doubt, both of them are legend in the world of badminton. They always step into final.

If you remember, 4 years ago in Olympic, Dato Lee was playing against Lin Dan.

In Olympic that year, both Dato Lee and Lin Dan were performing AWESOME in quarter final and semi final. Before the final, I told my friend, 'you seriously have to watch this game, it's going to be one of the greatest game ever. I never see such wonderful players before, they performed really well before the final.'

However, Dato Lee's performance in final wasn't satisfying. That's not his fault, but ours. Although I was not the one playing on the court, I can feel the pressure we have given to him. He was not only playing for his own, but for the whole Malaysia.

Tonight, same scenario again. Whole Malaysia is watching him, and the opponent is the same as 4 years ago. I hope he won't feel so stressful this time. Hope he can perform well and win the first Olympic gold medal ever for Malaysia.

A lot of companies or businessmen are supporting Dato Lee in the way of giving out free gifts if he wins the medal. The most famous ones, Baskin Robbins. They are giving out free ice-cream is Dato Lee won.

Something attracts me this morning. I am not sure whether I am right or not, because I don't really remember clearly. This is what I see from newspaper.

Okay, what's the interesting part?

Here....

The word "that night", as I remember, that match is at afternoon 4 years ago.

I am not sure I remember correctly or not. Anyone can confirm for me?

Anyway, let us give our best support to Dato Lee Chong Wei tonight!

2012 Thomas and Uber Cup Preliminaries

There are a lot of top tournaments this year.....

Olympic Games....

Euro 2012.....

And don't forget, there are Thomas Cup and Uber Cup too.

2012 Thomas and Uber Cup preliminaries round has started. As a nation famous with badminton, Malaysia are playing too.

Today, Malaysia Thomas Cup team defeated Hong Kong by 3-2.

Lee Chong Wei defeated Wong Wing Ki 21-18, 22-20

Lim Khim Wah/ Goh V Shem defeated Wong Wai Hong/ Lee Chun Hei 21-14, 21-16
Darren Liew lost to Chan Yan Kit 21-17, 16-21, 19-21

With this wining, Malaysia successfully stepped into the next round in Thomas Cup.

On the other hand, Malaysia Uber Cup Team defeated India with 3-2.

Tee Jing Yi lost to Saina Lehwal 17-21, 16-21
Chin Eei Hui/ Wong Pei Tty defeated Jwala Gutta/ Ashwini Ponnappa 21-12, 21-16
Lydia Chea lost to Sindhu P.V. 21-16, 13-21, 9-21
Goh Liu Ying/ Vivian Hoo defeated Prajakta Sawant/ Pradnya Gadre 21-17, 21-17
Yang Li Lian defeated Sayali Gokhale 11-21, 21-15, 22-20

Applause has to be given to Yang Li Lian. After lost the first set with 11-21, she managed to fight back at the second set. In the third set, she was once losing with 2-11. I thought the chance to win the game is very tiny. But, she created the wonderful story! She defeated the opponent at the end with 22-20!

After getting this win, Malaysia has obtain the 'half ticket' to Uber Cup next stage. Unless India defeat China tomorrow, or else, Malaysia will be stepping into the Uber Cup for next round.

All the best to Malaysia Thomas and Uber Cup in the final round!

Badminton Again Today

I went Permata to play badminton again today.
Today, I played with Soony, Renee, Yew Lee, James, Renee's friend and two friends of James.

At the beginning, I played quite bad.
I lost in single to James' friend. I managed to get single digit only.
But luckily I manage to find back my form later on.
I play single with Soony as well.
Today, the result is better than last Saturday.
I lost by 18-21 as compare last Saturday I lost by 10-21 and 8-21.

Today, it's first time to partner with Soony to play in double since long time ago.
His method of playing double is much better than last time already.
I wish to train to play double with him together.

Well, Soony is my target! Haha.
I want to be better than him.
I will try hard to train myself.
I learned something from him today, thanks to him.

Okay now, these are things I need to improve:
1. Stamina
2. Smash acduracy
3. Footwork
4. Net play

Okay. LuPorTi, GO GO GO!

Badminton Is burning Inside My Heart Again

I played badminton a lot during this holiday.
Not really this holiday, but these three weeks.

Thanks to Soony,
he invites me to play badminton.

Yesterday,
I played with Soony as well as his friends.
Zi Hur joined us too.

Yesterday's performance was really disappointed.
I won only one game.
I did a lot of mistakes.

I decided to play and train my badminton skill again.
I am planning to buy new racket too.
I need a better racket.

Today,
I am going to play badminton again.
I hope I won't make too many mistakes today.

Thomas Cup 2010 Came to the End

China played with Indonesia today.
Many friends of mine support Indonesia.
They don't like China players' attitude.
And some of them support Indonesia because China defeated Malaysia.

Although many friends of mine support Indonesia,
it doesn't help.
China defeated Indonesia by 3-0.
China becomes the winner of Thomas Cup 2010.
Congratulation to China.

Thomas Cup challenges will come again 2 years later,
so do Uber Cup.
I hope Malaysia will perform better 2 years later.

Say Bye to Thomas Cup 2010

Malaysia lost to China 0-3 last night in Thomas Cup semi-final.

If Malaysia wanted to have a chance to get into final,
Dato Lee needed to get the first point for Malaysia.
However,
he lost to Lin Dan.
That is his first lost in year 2010,
and also his first defeat to Lin Dan in Malaysia.

China continued to get the second point from Koo Kean Keat and Tan Beng Heong.

After our double had lost,
many people had considered that Malaysia had lost the game.
It was almost impossible for Malaysia to win all the following matches.
But I still hope for miracle to happen.
I hope Wong Choong Hann could surprise us.

Unfortunately,
he failed to.
But he had tried his best.

Malaysia badminton team,
let's fight again in year 2012!

Thomas Cup Semi-Final

It's so great to see Malaysia enters semi-final in Thomas Cup 2010.
I was so surprise of the performance of Malaysia's players 2 days ago.
Will they perform as great as that day in semi-final?

I hope they could help Malaysia to enter the final.
But today's challenge isn't easy,
they are going to play against China.

I am waiting to watch them playing this evening.
I will give them the greatest support.

To all Malaysians,
I hope you all will support them as well.

7 o'clock this evening,
stay tune on TV1 or TV9 if you don't have Astro in home,
LET US SUPPORT MALAYSIA TOGETHER!

An Interesting Game Against Denmark

Yesterday,
Malaysia played against Denmark in Thomas Cup.
Initially,
I didn't have high expectation that Malaysia could win the game.
I have actually thought that we might lose in the game.
But I support Malaysia all the way.
I wish Malaysia could go through the challenges one by one.

As I expected,
Dato Lee obtained the first win for Malaysia.
He won by 21-17 in both sets.
Then, Koo Kean Keat/ Tan Boon Heong won the second point by 21-17, 21-19 victory.

Then, the hard time started.

The second single started.
Wong Choong Hann represented Malaysia as the second single.
He was playing with the Denmark player who is 11 years younger than him.
He really had a challenging opponent.
But he never gave up.
He was trying his best to defeat the opponent.
However,
He lost.
He lost by 20-22, 21-16, 18-21
Although he has lost,
he had tried his best.
I want to say "THANK YOU" to him.

After the second single,
it was the second double's turn.
Due to the problem with audiences,
Fairuz didn't play yesterday.
He was replaced by Hoon Thien How.
I thought Malaysia didn't have much hope for this game.
That was the new combination,
and the opponent is number 6 in world ranking!
They lost too.
But they have shown a great performance!
They lost in rubber game.
The result was 26-24, 12-21, 19-21.
The game was very interesting.
It's really very interesting and exciting!

After Malaysia got into the position of 2-2,
we needed to depend on Hafiz Hashim.

Hafiz Hashim impressed me last night.
His performance was AWESOME!
He successfully used his advantage in the game and show us the world class badminton!
He was totally in control of the game!
He won by 21-12, 21-10.

I never thought he could have such a great performance last night.
He was criticized by a lot of badminton fans after the match against Japan.
Now, I guess he has gained back his respect.
I am feeling proud that Malaysia had him on the match last night!
And one sentence appeared in my mind last night,
HAFIZ BOLEH, MALAYSIA BOLEH!

Malaysia gets into semi-final!

After the match,
I looked at Facebook,
Facebook was full of one name, HAFIZ!

HAFIZ, you are the hero of MALAYSIA!

History Repeated Again

Today,
Malaysia played against Indonesia (note: I wrote wrongly as China previously) in Uber Cup.
I knew it's extremely hard for Malaysia to win.
So, this probably be the last game for Malaysia in Uber Cup 2010.

Again,
I failed to watch it again.

The interesting thing is this.

When I was in bus rushing back home,
the game ended,
and Malaysia lost.

same thing happened.
Malaysia lost when I was in bus rushing back home,

Why the same history repeated again.

Will the same thing happen again 2 years later?
I hope not.

Malaysia Was Defeated by Japan in Thomas Cup

This is the first match for Malaysia's players to play in Thomas Cup.
Malaysia was supposed to play against Nigeria 2 days ago.
However, Nigeria was late to Malaysia.
So, Malaysia was announced as winner automatically.

Dato Lee kicked off the match by a victory of 21-12, 21-13.

Then, our first double brought us the second point by the winning of
21-13, 21-17.

After leading of 2-0,
our second single player, Wong Choong Han,
stepped on the court.
The thing that I was worrying happened.
Wong Choong Han lost.

Then, our second double lost as well.
So do our last player, Hafiz Hashim.

I believe the defeat disappoints a lot of Malaysians.

However,
Malaysia is still qualified to the quarter final.
What I hope now is,
Malaysia badminton team can perform better in the coming matches.

Good Luck to Malaysia in both Thomas Cup and Uber Cup!

Other results for this evening's matches:

[Thomas Cup]
Denmark 4-1 Germany

[Uber Cup]
China 5-0 Malaysia
Korea 4-1 Indua

China Versus Korea

This afternoon,
China was playing against Korea in Thomas Cup.
Lin Dan played the first game and won by 21-18, 25-23.

Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng played as the first double and won by 21-11, 21-12.

Then,
my parents came back,
I decided to ask my dad to fetch me to McDonald.
I hoped the TV there would show the match.

When I reached there,
I disappointed.
There was no Thomas Cup there.
It showed football match.

I searched for place to watch the match (China versus Korea) around Farlim.
I found one coffee shop.
The second double players were playing in third set at that moment.
Korea won that game.

Then, I was blurred.
I thought it was the final game.

My dad phoned me.
I told my dad the game was going to end.

After the match ended,
I left the shop and waited for my dad.

After my friend told me it was 3-1 that time,
I realized that there was one more game,
the third single.

I was so blurred

At the end, China defeated Korea by 4-1.

Malaysia Versus Japan and China

Today is the third day of Thomas and Uber Cup.
After Malaysia won the match against U.S.A. by 5-0 yesterday,
our Uber Cup team is going to have a difficult challenge today.
Malaysia is going to battle with China in Uber Cup.
It will be a tough mission for our team.

Honestly,
I don't think Malaysia could win the game. (I guess most of the people think so too)
China players are too strong.
But I believe in Malaysia players,
I know that they are going to try their best to give the best performance.

Although the chance is low,
I still have hope on them.
I wish so much that I could see 'Malaysia defeated China in Uber Cup' in the newspaper tomorrow.

Good luck to all Malaysia players.

On the other hand,
Malaysia is going to face Japan in Thomas Cup.

Other matches of today:

Thomas Cup
China vs Korea
India vs Australia
Denmark vs Germany

Uber Cup
Indonesia vs Denmark
Japan vs Russia
Korea vs India

Badminton Match

Last night,
Dato Lee Chong Wei was playing in the All England Championship final.
He won at the end.

Last night,
when I went out,
the people who were watching is more than I expected.

I used to be a badminton and football fans.
Now,
I seem like don't concern about sport.

Previously,
when I got a newspaper,
the first section I would look for,
was the sport section.

Now,
I rarely read the sport section.

I realized I have changed a lot.
