My Respectful Friend in Stock Market, Deric Yee

Suddenly, I am thinking of introduce a friend of mine in stock market, Deric Yee! He is one of the most respectful friend I ever met.

Even he is young, he have achieve great success in stock market. Fot the past 4 years, he has generated compuded annual growth rate of 77.8%.

Thanks to OSK Investment Challenge. I knew him through the competition. However, our style in stock market are completely different. I am long term investor while he is short term speculator. There is no much common topic that we can talk as we are in two different direction. So, we didn't really chat at the beginning.

Thing changes after a gathering 2 years ago. He came Penang and we gathered up. He shared about his knowledge and I was impressed. Besides mastering the Technical Analysis, he has also developed some unique technical indicators that work exceptionally well in Malaysia market. His models had allowed him to tap into opportunities that arise in some of the most sophisticated segments of the market.

As he is quite an expert, I felt a little nervous to meet him. But then, I felt surprised. He is extremely friendly. So, that gathering end up to be one of the greatest investment gathering I ever had in my life. Since then, we chatted with each other more frequently. I learned quite a lot of thing from him.

This year, he launched his website called Stocks Trading Malaysia to share his thought on stock market. He is also conducting classes to teach people how to trade in stock market.

2 weeks from now, he is coming to Penang again. I am going to meet him up for dinner (on 15th June). I am looking forward to that gathering. I am sure it is going to be another memorable gathering.

Cards That I Like

Today, I tried to tidy up my cupboard. And, suddenly, I saw some envelopes. Those are cards I received from my friend. I opened up it one by one to have a look and to recall my past.

I feel thankful to those who have given me cards. I appreciate all. I will keep all the cards forever.

After seeing all the cards, some of the card made me recalling a lot of memories. Here are some card that I like it so much!

CARD NO.1: Birthday card for my 22 years old birthday

This is the card I like the most! It's a simple birthday gift, but i really like it too much! What's so special of this card?

See the PDI?

See the sentence 'Dunno what to give you this year, So I decided to buy a PDI shirt, hope to increase your shares.'

It's a very meaningful and special gift. This gift touches my heart!

CARD NO.2: STPM congratulation card

I got 4A for my STPM. It was the best academic result I ever got in my life. I never ever thought before that I can do so well in my academic.

However, I still remember the moment very well. After getting result, most of my friends were going for celebration. I got a good result, I should be going to celebrate as well, right? I didn't. I went back home. Feeling that I was so lonely.

But this card tells me that I am not alone.

CARD NO.3: 2009 birthday card

It's a simple card but surprising. I never expect to receive this birthday card. After I came back home from UUM, I saw this card. It surprised me A LOT!

CARD NO.4: Chinese New Year (2012) card from a blogger

Of course, never forget this one. It's a special ones as well. Familiar with this card? I posted it before. The post entitled 'The Year of Dragon'. I received this card from my blogging friend, a friend I never meet and chat before (except chatting through commenting in blogs).

For cards that I don't post here, I hope the senders will not sad. I really love all the cards. I appreciate all your kindness, truthfully.

A Wonderful Friend of Mine: The Founder of Frambie

Happy weekend to all.

Today, suddenly thought of introducing a friend to you all. He is an outstanding person. He is one of the friends I always proud of.

When he was studying in UUM, he was trying to seek for opportunity for businesses. He wish to be a great entrepreneur who can bring some value-added to the society. A lot of people have great dream, but how many of them are actually putting effort on moving it? Yea, this friend is one of the people who really put a lot of effort on me.

And this friend names....... RAY BEH.

Recently, he has just won a Young Entrepeneur Award from Singapore. (check out some of the news here: Sgentrepreneurs, TODAYonline)

He founded Frambie last year, and he won award with Frambie this year.

Then in June, Frambie is entering Singapore market! When I know this, only one word appear in my mind, 'WOW'.

I can see that he is moving higher and higher. His achievement is getting greater and greater. Who knows, he is going to appear in Forbes and Fortune very soon? This is something which is really possible to Ray Beh. He is really an outstanding ones.

I still remember the moment I first met him. I know him through SIFE UUM. I was on duty for SIFE UUM that day. When Ray came, the chairlady introduced Ray to me, and said, 'don't look this person as a normal one, Ray is not an ordinary person, he is a special ones'. Today, he is starting proving that that statement is right. He is on the track now.

Well, his success gives me some motivation too. I love investment and he love business. I wish that in future, we would able to have some collaboration. He has moved this far, so I guess I need to work harder already! I shouldn't waste much of my time any more! I want to meet Ray on the top. Just like Michael Teoh told me last night, let's all of us succeed together.

Gathering With Primary School Teacher And Friends At Berjaya Hotel

Once again, my standard 1 to 3 classmates met up with our teacher today at Berjaya Hotel. The last gathering with my teacher was on 8th January this year. It is so nice to meet our teacher, Madam Ooi once again.

Although it's just 7 of us attend today, it was a nice gathering, especially I could met Yi Jian and Xin Long today. I never met up and talk with them since standard 5. It's so nice can meet them back once again. Yi Jian, still as friendly as before, created a lot of joyful moment to us.

Well, this year is the final year for our teacher to teach in our primary school, Kong Min 2. Kong Min 2 had a farewell ceremony for her few weeks ago. Too bad, I have started working, I couldn't attend. So, actually today, this gathering is for her. Wish her all the best and able to have a wonderful moment after retirement.

She is my first teacher in primary school. She plays very important role in my life. She is one of the best teachers I ever have in my life.

I would like to say few words to her over here,

THANK YOU, MADAM OOI! YOU ARE A VERY GOOD TEACHER! THANK YOU!

Practicum Day 3

Honestly, I almost gave up this morning.
I phoned my friend.
I actually did think of asking him to fetch me back UUM to apply for quitting.
Unfortunately, or fortunately,
he didn't pick up.

Then,
I still almost didn't want to go to the firm today.

But lastly, I went.

There were a lot of problems.

Luckily, very lucky,
I have few friend who are very helpful.
I really thanks to them.

Thanks to Wei Sein for lending me audit books.
Thanks to Chen Lin for helping me to make a call.

And, lastly, I want to thank Jace.
I want to thank her very much!
I knew Jace for not long.
I knew her 1 year ago.
Friend doesn't be evaluated by time, but HEART.

She is so good.
Along the time, she have been helping people always.
When people in trouble, she play her role as a friend.

Ignoring the small stuffs,
in just few months time,
she have helped me in 3 big matters.

If want to take the small stuffs into account.
I don't know how many time have she helped me.
I owe her a lot.

Thanks to you all ya!

Today, again,
I still blur with what I was doing.
But at least it was better than yesterday.
I did more things today comparing the past two days.

Today, my boss asked me to do my job quicker.
Opps, he started to push me.
I hope I still able to handle it.

How are others doing?
I hope you all are doing well.

This weekend, perhaps I will meet some of them.
I believe all people will talk a lot about practicum life.

Good luck!

Survey on Trustworthy of Online Friend

I posted a survey question in YouthSays.
I asked whether people trust their online friends.
158 people have taken up the survey.
Here is the result.

It seems like most of the people don't trust their online friends.

How about you?
Are you the one who trust your online friends?
or the one who don't trust?

My Past Good Good Friends

I was tagged in a photo in Facebook.

Thanks for Chien for drawing this for me.
This is really a great memory for me.
I was once being very good with them.
We played.
We laughed.
We enjoyed.

Unfortunately,
after entering to my university.
I seldom contact them.
Our relationship isn't as good as previous.

It sometimes makes me think of one question.
"Is distance one factor of friendship?"

Many people (including me),
tried to deny the statement.

But what happened to me,
seems like not as what I thought.

Not only this gang.
I have another 2 good friends.
We were once being very closed.
But distance becomes the destroyer.

Of course,
we are still friends,
better than ordinary friends.
But just,
we aren't as good as previous.

ICT Era and Relationship Between Humans

We are in ICT Era!

I believe many people have these items.

A mobile phone.
How many people don't have this?

I remember that I have my first mobile phone during my Form 4.

Now,
even Standard 1 students own mobile phone.

How about this?

A laptop.
Most houses in our nation are equipped with laptops or personal computers.

How many people have no chance to connect to the internet?
(either with own laptop/PC, or other people's)

These items should help humans to communicate easier and better.
But the question here is,
are them making the relationship between humans closer?

ARE THEM?

How many people nowadays talk to their neighbours?

How many people nowadays go outings with friends?

How many people nowadays are friendly in the neighbourhood?

The number is reducing.

Why could this happens in such an era with advanced communication instruments?

Can We Live Without Friend?

We often hear people say,
'I don't need friend.'

In this era,
can we live without friend?
It's extremely hard.

As Chinese proverb says,
we depends on family member in home; we depends on friend at the outside.

When we are outside,
who normally stay around us?

FRIENDS.

They are the first people who can assist us if we fall into any trouble or when we need any help.

Fighting lonely is hardly survive nowadays.
We need friends.

Living without friends is like walking alone on the path.
We will only feel lonely.

We find nobody to share our happiness.
We find nobody to share our burden.
It's very lonely.
