What's the big thing for today?
It's a big day for Malaysia's third coins series which will be available for circulation early next year.
Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) issued the commemorative coins for Malaysia's third coins series today.
It's available at HQ for BNM or its branches located at Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
The series consist of
5 cents,
10 cents,
20 cents and
50 cents.
It was sold at RM10.
Buying coins worth 85 cents with RM10, does it worth it?
For me, it is.
There are
only 500,000 sets of commemorative coins issued.
So, I went to BNM in the morning to buy it.
I believe it will be all sold out in the noon.
As I expected, when my friend went there at 3 o'clock, it was sold out.
Luckily, the queue wasn't too long.
I scared that it would all be sold out faster than I expected.
Fortunately, I managed to buy it.
The coins are
limited to 5 sets per persons.
So, I bought 5 sets, in which 1 set is for my ex-colleague who asked my to buy for her earlier.
A thought came into my mind, 'can we queue again after buying in order to buy more?'
Well, we can't.
There is a man who queued for the second time and recognized by the officer.
He was asked to left the queue.
Those who wants to buy more than 5 sets should fill up the form.
Does it look nicer than the second series that we are using now?
I prefer this new ones.
Now, I am waiting for the commemorative banknotes which will be issued in the
September this year.
I am going to buy it as well.
