Seafood At Jalan Bayan Bay, Penang

I had a great dinner on Thursday.
I went dinner with Henry, Soony and Soony's girlfriend.
It was a long time so since the last time we three (Henry, Soony and I) had dinner together.
I guess it was years ago.

We gathered and had dinner again on Thursday.

We decided to have 'ikan bakar' at Jalan Bayan Bay (somewhere not far from Queensbay Mall).

Well, I was quite satisfied with the meal.
It tasted nice, and it costs us RM49.

If you go, remember to eat the dishes when it is still hot ya,
or else it won't taste too nice.

UUM Practicum Result Releasing

Yesterday, I received a message from my friend telling me that we can now check our practicum result.
Soon after I got home, I turned on my laptop to check about it.
But, it took me half an hour time.

When I logged in to UUM portal and clicked for the result checking,
it required me update my information.

After I click to update it, a trouble popped up.

I was using Google Chrome to surf it.
Then I changed to Firefox.

It still the same.
I really have to use Internet Explorer to surf it.
It has been a long time I didn't use it.
Luckily my Internet Explorer version is 6.0.

Then, I successfully got into the result page.
Another problem, it was empty.

After a while, I knew that I can check out from profile there.

Yea. I found it.
But, another problem.

My practicum result doesn't really appear.
But my GPA and CGPA were updated.
Therefore, I need to count it back, and deduct the total marks for my other papers that I have taken previously in order to know my practicum result.

Finally I got it.
But I am not sure is that really the way to know my practicum result.

Anyway, another question comes up on my mind.
When will be my convocation.

My friends say that it is going to be on October this year.

Is it true? I hope so.

Malaysia's Third Coins Series

What's the big thing for today?

It's a big day for Malaysia's third coins series which will be available for circulation early next year.

Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) issued the commemorative coins for Malaysia's third coins series today.
It's available at HQ for BNM or its branches located at Penang, Johor Bahru, Kuala Terengganu, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
The series consist of 5 cents, 10 cents, 20 cents and 50 cents.
It was sold at RM10.

Buying coins worth 85 cents with RM10, does it worth it?
For me, it is.

There are only 500,000 sets of commemorative coins issued.
So, I went to BNM in the morning to buy it.
I believe it will be all sold out in the noon.
As I expected, when my friend went there at 3 o'clock, it was sold out.

Luckily, the queue wasn't too long.
I scared that it would all be sold out faster than I expected.

Fortunately, I managed to buy it.
The coins are limited to 5 sets per persons.
So, I bought 5 sets, in which 1 set is for my ex-colleague who asked my to buy for her earlier.

A thought came into my mind, 'can we queue again after buying in order to buy more?'

Well, we can't.
There is a man who queued for the second time and recognized by the officer.
He was asked to left the queue.
Those who wants to buy more than 5 sets should fill up the form.

Does it look nicer than the second series that we are using now?
I prefer this new ones.

Now, I am waiting for the commemorative banknotes which will be issued in the September this year.
I am going to buy it as well.

Do you know how to handstand?

There is an event of gathering a group of people to have handstand in Taiwan.
That event attracted 552 people to support.
The oldest is already 65 years old while the youngest is only 1 and half years old.

The slogan for this event is "没有不可能,只要你愿意". ('Nothing is impossible, as long as you are willing to do it)

This slogan make some thoughts got into my mind.

Google Maps Asks Us To Swim?

I am quite interested in Google Maps recently.
I made an experiment on the accuracy of time estimated by Google Maps 2 days ago.

Later on, I found something interesting.

I checked the direction from Xiamen, Fujian, China to Shihlin District, Taiwan.

And I found this.

Look at this!

And look at what's its instruction.

WHAT?! SWIM ACROSS THE PACIFIC OCEAN?!

Is Time Estimated by Google Maps Accurate?

I walked to Farlim to do some bank transactions.
When I was reaching there, something came up in my mind.
I wonder whether how accurate is the estimated time needed by Google Maps to reach a place from one place.

So, when I was walking back home, I recorded down the time.

Time of departure: 3.21 p.m.
Time of reaching: 3.55 p.m.

So, it's 34 minutes.

After I reached my home, I tried to check it with Google Maps.

It surprised me! It shows 34 minutes!

It's same as the time I have taken!

I had also set some check point and recorded down the time used.

Time used by me

Estimation by Google Maps

Check point 1: Econ Save

9 minutes

10 minutes

Check point 2: Pine Valley Business Centre

6 minutes

7 minutes

Check point 3: Lee Rubber

9 minutes

9 minutes

Check point 4: Destination

10 minutes

8 minutes

TOTAL

34 minutes

34 minutes

It's quite accurate, isn't it?

Say Hello To Junior

Hello, friends, let's say hello to Junior!

Not the juniors for university.
Not the juniors for investment.
Not the juniors from any group.

It's Junior the doggie in my dad's office.

I went my dad's office yesterday.
I brought my camera there and I captured the photo for the doggie.
