An Interesting Game Against Denmark

Yesterday,
Malaysia played against Denmark in Thomas Cup.
Initially,
I didn't have high expectation that Malaysia could win the game.
I have actually thought that we might lose in the game.
But I support Malaysia all the way.
I wish Malaysia could go through the challenges one by one.

As I expected,
Dato Lee obtained the first win for Malaysia.
He won by 21-17 in both sets.
Then, Koo Kean Keat/ Tan Boon Heong won the second point by 21-17, 21-19 victory.

Then, the hard time started.

The second single started.
Wong Choong Hann represented Malaysia as the second single.
He was playing with the Denmark player who is 11 years younger than him.
He really had a challenging opponent.
But he never gave up.
He was trying his best to defeat the opponent.
However,
He lost.
He lost by 20-22, 21-16, 18-21
Although he has lost,
he had tried his best.
I want to say "THANK YOU" to him.

After the second single,
it was the second double's turn.
Due to the problem with audiences,
Fairuz didn't play yesterday.
He was replaced by Hoon Thien How.
I thought Malaysia didn't have much hope for this game.
That was the new combination,
and the opponent is number 6 in world ranking!
They lost too.
But they have shown a great performance!
They lost in rubber game.
The result was 26-24, 12-21, 19-21.
The game was very interesting.
It's really very interesting and exciting!

After Malaysia got into the position of 2-2,
we needed to depend on Hafiz Hashim.

Hafiz Hashim impressed me last night.
His performance was AWESOME!
He successfully used his advantage in the game and show us the world class badminton!
He was totally in control of the game!
He won by 21-12, 21-10.

I never thought he could have such a great performance last night.
He was criticized by a lot of badminton fans after the match against Japan.
Now, I guess he has gained back his respect.
I am feeling proud that Malaysia had him on the match last night!
And one sentence appeared in my mind last night,
HAFIZ BOLEH, MALAYSIA BOLEH!

Malaysia gets into semi-final!

After the match,
I looked at Facebook,
Facebook was full of one name, HAFIZ!

HAFIZ, you are the hero of MALAYSIA!
