520 for Year 2013

Today's is 20th May 2013. Many people are posting '520' in Facebook. If 520 is read in Mandarin, it sounds like 'I love you. A lot of people are expressing their love to their love ones today.

Nothing too special I did today.

It is birthday for one of my greatest friend. I delivered a birthday gift to her.

After I back home, I continue looking on the stock market.

Nothing special as well in stock market. The market is good like previous days.

But suddenly, in final half minutes of the pre-close session. NTPM (a stock that I am heavily invest in currently) matched at RM0.520!

I am so happy to it. NTPM closed at RM0.520 on 520 (20 May)!

I LOVE YOU, NTPM!

Wonder why I am so happy to see it to close at RM0.520? Haha. I have my own reason.

Teacher's Day 2013

2 days ago, it was Teacher's Day.

Last year, I planned that I could actually visited my form 6 teachers during this years' Teacher's Day. But unfortunately, I was busy on Teacher's Day. I went out in the morning, meeting people and attending talk organised by RHB Investment (formerly known as OSK Investment) until late night.

Luckily in the morning, I manage to send a email to Mr. Krishna.

Mr. Krishna is one of the best teachers I ever meet in my life. He was my English teacher when I was learning English in Cambridge Language Centre.

As I mention in my previous post...

I mentioned that I hate English previously. He is the ones making me get interested into English. And now, I love reading, thank to him.

Reunion Dinner 2013

Looking on Facebook, a lot of people were posting about reunion dinner. Here I am, posting about my reunion dinner on my blog. As usual, we had steam-boat as our reunion dinner. We have been having steam-boat as our reunion dinner for the past few years.

My family and I started to prepare for the dinner at around 6 o'clock. I in-charge for arranging the food on plate.

After all the preparation, we started eating at around 8 o'clock.

My stomach was so full with the dinner. It's quite a nice dinner. How about you? I hope you had a great reunion dinner too.

And never forget to wish you all....

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!!

55 Years of Merdeka

Merdeka!

Merdeka!

Merdeka!

It's 31st August 2012! It's the national day of our country. Our country has officially independent for 55 years.

A small wish here, I hope all the Malaysians will have better days in future.

Also, today is my independent day.

Yesterday was officially my final day in working in my ex-firm. I am no longer the employee there starting today.

I worked in that firm for 10 and a half months. It isn't a long period of time, but I learned a lot. Thanks to my boss. Last year, when I started to look for my job, I actually didn't wish to look for audit job. But end up, I joined an audit firm. You may ask me why, and it's because the boss. He is a great boss. A caring boss, and he is willing to teach us a lot. I have been learning a long during this period. I learned a lot of things that I think I probably will not learn it if I didn't join that firm.

I actually feel sorry to him. My performance should be not meeting his expectation. Really sorry.

Audit is really not suitable for me. I really couldn't perform in it. Anyway, I am out now.

So the next question you may ask now, what's my next move?

Well, I give myself 1 year time. I don't intend to seek for a job for this one year time. I am going to focus on my investment and starting some businesses. It's time to start doing things I want to. Life's short, we are not afford to spend most of the time we have now to do things we don't really like to.

One year time. I hope I can really use it effectively.

All the best to all!

HAPPY MERDEKA DAY!

Cards That I Like

Today, I tried to tidy up my cupboard. And, suddenly, I saw some envelopes. Those are cards I received from my friend. I opened up it one by one to have a look and to recall my past.

I feel thankful to those who have given me cards. I appreciate all. I will keep all the cards forever.

After seeing all the cards, some of the card made me recalling a lot of memories. Here are some card that I like it so much!

CARD NO.1: Birthday card for my 22 years old birthday

This is the card I like the most! It's a simple birthday gift, but i really like it too much! What's so special of this card?

See the PDI?

See the sentence 'Dunno what to give you this year, So I decided to buy a PDI shirt, hope to increase your shares.'

It's a very meaningful and special gift. This gift touches my heart!

CARD NO.2: STPM congratulation card

I got 4A for my STPM. It was the best academic result I ever got in my life. I never ever thought before that I can do so well in my academic.

However, I still remember the moment very well. After getting result, most of my friends were going for celebration. I got a good result, I should be going to celebrate as well, right? I didn't. I went back home. Feeling that I was so lonely.

But this card tells me that I am not alone.

CARD NO.3: 2009 birthday card

It's a simple card but surprising. I never expect to receive this birthday card. After I came back home from UUM, I saw this card. It surprised me A LOT!

CARD NO.4: Chinese New Year (2012) card from a blogger

Of course, never forget this one. It's a special ones as well. Familiar with this card? I posted it before. The post entitled 'The Year of Dragon'. I received this card from my blogging friend, a friend I never meet and chat before (except chatting through commenting in blogs).

For cards that I don't post here, I hope the senders will not sad. I really love all the cards. I appreciate all your kindness, truthfully.

Birthday Gifts From Jusco

Few weeks ago, around my birthday, I received an SMS from Jusco. It was a message wishing me Happy Birthday and informing me to redeem a birthday card and some gift coupons from J-card counter.

Yesterday, I went Queensbay Mall, and I redeemed the birthday card and coupons. There are 16 coupons in total.

Among all the coupons, the TGV buy 1 free 1 coupon attracts me the most! Haha. Going to watch movie with Henry tomorrow.

Chap Goh Meh At Strait Quay

Chinese New Year celebration has officially over. How's your celebration? Do you get enough ang pow? Haha.

Chinese New Year celebration ends with Chap Goh Meh, or Chinese Valentine's Day.

Chap Goh Meh is a day where the females will be throwing oranges into the river while the males collecting it.

Well, although I have been living in this world for 24 years, it's my first time to see the ceremony of throwing oranges.

I went Strait Quay with Henry and Applefish to see the ceremony.

Well, it's quite crowded and hot!! No much photos I managed to take on that night as my camera isn't good. Anyway, you may go My Blog, My Way to see some photos.

And the good thing is....

I managed to take a photo with Chai Shen Ye! Thanks to Henry on helping me to take the photo!

Wohoo! Hope I can get more money this year. Hope I can generate a good return from my investment.

Happy Birthday To LuPorTi

Happy Chap Goh Meh to all!

And, today is my big day! It's my birthday! I am officially 24 years old. I am getting old already. This year, my birthday wish is simple: to complete my resolution 2012 which I have set. Hope I really make it.

I slept at 1 a.m. to wait the clock to tick on the number of 12 to welcome my birthday. Once it passes 12 o'clock, I received a lot of wishes in Facebook. Even this morning, after waking, I noticed my Facebook wall was full of birthday wishes. I spent some time to thank to all the people who had been wishing me.

The world is changing right? Do you remember? When we were small, we used to sending birthday cards to people to wish them Happy Birthday? I wonder how many people are still doing that always.

1990s: Birthday cards
2000s: SMS
2010s: Facebook
2020s: ?????

Let's guess what will be the mediums of wishing birthday in 2020s.

Brain wave?

Haha. We will know about that after 10 years.

The Year of Dragon!

I didn't write any post in blog since Chinese New Year. And here I am.

Although I have one week holiday, I feel that it doesn't enough as I have a lot of things I plan to do. I have been busy of it this few days.

As our Chinese tradition, we will have reunion dinner a day before Chinese New Year where all the members of a family will gather together to have dinner together. My family had our reunion dinner at home on the night before Chinese New Year, or some people call it 'Chinese New Year Eve'.

We prepared steamboat as our reunion dinner. I think most of the people are having steamboat as reunion dinner nowadays, right?

I am actually quite busy and didn't really plan to update my blog today. But, something motivated me to update.

Know what's that?

This....

I received a CNY (Chinese New Year) card!

It's really rare to see people sending CNY card recent year, right?

Last year I received one and the only one card for last year CNY from my god-sister. This year, I received my only CNY from a blogging friend, EeSoon.

EeSoon, thank you very much ya! I appreciate your card!

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR TO ALL, MAY YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL YEAR IN THE YEAR OF DRAGON!

Happy 'Tang Yuan' Festival

It's 'Tang Yuan' Festival!

Due to work, I didn't help to make 'Tang Yuan' this year. However, after reading some blogs, it flashed back my memory in my past where my brothers and I were helping my mother and grandmother to make the 'Tang Yuan'. It was quite fund. Perhaps, next year, if I have time, I will make the 'Tang Yuan'.

The 'Tang Yuan' made by my family. 3 colours: red, green and white.

They made it in yesterday's noon and my mum cooked it at night. And I ate some last night.

Did you eat 'Tang Yuan' during this 'Tang Yuan' Festival? Do you like it?

Anyway, HAPPY 'TANG YUAN' FESTIVAL!

Deepavali Open House At Time Square, Penang.

Today is an important day for Hindus. It's Deepavali! Deepavali, also called as 'Festival of Light', is one of the most important festival for Hindus. It's celebrated between mid-October and mid-November. Today, it falls on today.

There is an open house hosted in Time Square, Penang, from 11am to 2pm. As I didn't have work, I manage to give it a visit.

Around Time Square, there are quite a number of temples. I saw a lot of Hindus were being there. I can feel how important this festival to them.

In this open house, I can see there are quite a lot of people attending. And the people attended are not just Hindus. I can see there are various people from various races and religions gathered there. That's what should be seen in Malaysia, right?

Well, let's look at photos to see how's the open house.
